Before<before>Before<before>After<obviously after>After<after>After<after>I got a lot of information here, so after my surgery I really wanted to write a review too! I usually have a habit of writing various things in my notes app and blog, so I’ll try to write this in as much detail as possible
1) My criteria when choosing a hospital
- I naturally checked things like CCTV and postoperative care, and I looked at how long the director had been working in the “breast” field
- Hospitals are mostly about generating hospital revenue rather than being interested in my body. To make revenue, a lot of people need to come in, and they make reviews look tempting. So I think they tend to steer you toward putting in a cc size bigger than what suits your body so the before-and-after difference looks bigger. If, while going around for consultations, everyone here is told to put in implants larger than at other hospitals? Be a little suspicious. We have to protect our own bodies
- I also thought I should check whether I could keep receiving postoperative care and continue seeing the director. Rather than just surgery and done, I checked whether I could see the director’s face whenever I came to the hospital, whether they checked my progress well, plus whether A/S was available
- Honestly, breast surgery costs a lot of money, right..? There are many good places these days, so I wanted to go somewhere where both the consultant and the director were kind. Since I’m paying a lot, I think I should receive service that matches that. During consultation, the consultant had short hair, and there was no pressure to book. Even after surgery and when I went in for postoperative care, she took good care of me, so I liked that it didn’t feel like “breast surgery and done”
- I looked for places that don’t use drains or compression bands, and they said if the surgical skill is good, there isn’t much bleeding, so you don’t need a drain
2) Things that are okay not to have, but better if you do
- Postoperative care equipment: I got CAPS, and even after one session, it felt like my breasts became softer? Check what postoperative care equipment they have and how many sessions you get
- Existing tissue: By existing tissue, I mean breast tissue lol.. I had breast fat grafting before, and the asymmetry is severe, so one side is bigger, you know? But the side with more existing breast tissue does feel softer to the touch. If I hadn’t done breast fat grafting, I would have done it this time when putting in implants, but fortunately they didn’t tell me to. Thin people may need to consider breast fat grafting too if they don’t want it to look obvious..!
3) My personal breast surgery review
- I got Motiva Mini 260 and Demi 340 (severe breast asymmetry)
- I upgraded from an A cup to a D cup, and since I’m still only 2 weeks post-op, I think more swelling may go down
- After surgery, I honestly didn’t hurt at all. It just felt like there was something on top of my chest? Maybe because it was inframammary incision, from day 4 I really did everything as usual (of course, no exercise)
- I understand why people get breast surgery. Why does it feel so good when my breasts brush the inside of my arms lol. I’m so satisfied, and since it’s goodbye to padded bras, I think I’ll be able to wear clothes comfortably even in summer
