When you search for liposuction revision surgery on Google, a clinic that comes up a lot with a name similar to ㅈㅅㅂ is located near Sinsa Station.
I first went for a consultation just based on the fact that the doctor was a woman and the trustworthy-looking blog posts and photos. The facilities were old, and they made me wait an hour for the consultation... The consultant also seemed like she lacked expertise, but the director guaranteed that she could definitely fix it and that it wasn’t a difficult case, so I trusted her and scheduled the surgery.
First of all, the clinic staff consisted of only three people: the director, an assistant nurse (I’m not sure if that’s what she was, but anyway she was kind), and the consultant. It really felt kind of haphazard, how should I put it?
I was told the surgery would proceed as adhesion release + liposuction + AccuSculpt (lifting).
But the anesthesia wasn’t injection anesthesia; they gave me sleeping pills to take. I’ve had several surgeries, but this was my first time having sleeping-pill anesthesia, so I was a little nervous... Since they said I’d take medicine and have surgery, I thought maybe I’d take pills and also get an IV sleep-anesthesia injection, but it ended with two round pink pillsㅋㅋㅋㅋ (Well, I guess it’s my fault for not asking in detail...ㅋㅋㅋ)
After taking them, the medication kicked in and I was groggy. I started surgery with my mind all fuzzy, not sure whether I had disinfected my own body or how I even got to the operating room. During the surgery I could feel things poking under the skin of my arms here and there (of course, with local anesthesia I didn’t feel any pain at all). If they told me to raise my arm, I could raise it. I could even talk with the director while she was busily poking around in my arm.
Anyway, the surgery ended like that and I went home in a blur...
She had confidently said that doctors with good hand skills don’t cause bruising, but I don’t know if she poked something wrong, because below the right inner elbow there was a dark purple bruise like a cannula markㅋㅋㅋ It was kind of funny, but I could see the area I wanted improved had improved, so I just let it go. That’s my review.
To summarize in a few lines,
1. Unlike the blog posts that made her seem full of a sense of mission, I didn’t particularly feel that she cared about patients.
2. I wondered if the consultant was a family member of the director... She was dressed in casual clothes and didn’t seem professional, so I was like, huh?
3. Old facilities. (They said they’d been doing liposuction since the 2000s, and I wondered if they had never remodeled since then.)
4. Very long wait time. According to the director, she is busy, so patients need to understand ㅋㅋㅋ
5. Sleeping-pill anesthesia (I think I just lay there for about an hour after taking the pills until the medication kicked in.)
For now, I’m reasonably satisfied with the result, but if I were to do it again, I don’t think I’d do it here~ I especially don’t recommend it for people who are easily scared. I’m really not scared of surgery and consider myself suited for it, but even for me, the sensation of being poked around under my arm was pretty chillingㅋㅋㅋ..
