1-year review after double-jaw surgery

I had a complex about my gums showing, so I was always interested in double-jaw surgery. Even just a few years ago, double-jaw surgery had the image of being a frightening or scary procedure, but people around me gradually started getting double-jaw surgery and going about their lives well, so I think my certainty about wanting the surgery grew. One day, I thought I really shouldn’t delay it any longer, so I first went to consultations with specialists at several hospitals, and then everything moved quickly: choosing a hospital and having the surgery. Deciding on the hospital wasn’t very hard. It was the same hospital as a close acquaintance of mine, and that actually made me trust it more, so even on the morning of surgery, I didn’t feel worried or scared at all.

It may vary from person to person, but maybe because I had prepared myself for the discomfort after surgery, or maybe because of my constitution, I think I got through it pretty well. After surgery, of course, you can’t sleep well or eat well. But unlike other people who had double-jaw surgery, I only lost 3 kg. Actually, on the 3rd day after surgery, I was at a cafe in Garosu-gil with a friend, wiping my nosebleed while drinking coffee, so I think I was able to eat and walk around fairly well in my own way.

But already, a full year has passed. Since a lot of time has gone by, I’m living my daily life just like before surgery. To be honest, after the surgery, there are some slight inconveniences, but they are so minor compared with how much my appearance changed after surgery that I don’t regret having it done. Also, even people meeting me for the first time and people who already knew me couldn’t tell that I had surgery. I guess something looks different and prettier, but they don’t think of it as surgery~ When I compare it with my pre-surgery photos like this, so many things about my face have changed though haha In the early days after surgery, I was really swollen and bruised, so I wondered when my face would become presentable, but now that all the swelling is gone and I see my changed face, I just genuinely feel that I did well to have the surgery haha

The photos are before surgery, day 7, and recent photos haha
