Nose Surgery Reviews@rhino-review

Revision rhinoplasty after 15 years - Mint / Jeongwon, etc. consultation review +…

I had my first surgery 15 years ago at Oh Young-hwan (now O&Young) using costal cartilage. I looked around both online and in person to do it in 2019, but I got scared then and couldn’t go through with it. Now I can’t put it off any longer, so I’m planning to do it soon. Mint and Kim Gui-rak seem to appeal to me the most... I heard Yejin is okay too... Please look at the reviews below with me, and if anyone has had it done, please leave a comment or message me ㅜㅜ~ I want a soft but defined, natural, harmonious nose like Shin Min-a’s...

Below is what I wrote in 2019*

My original nose was very small, a bit like a pig nose, and the bridge was basically nonexistent, but the nose turned out very well, so I lived happily with a new life. But at some point, the nasal tip started to droop. I had suffered because of a failed eye surgery, so I was completely sick of more plastic surgery, and I was trying to live satisfied with my current nose, but the bridge is quite crooked, sometimes the nasal tip hurts, it is too hard, and whenever I sometimes go to my parents’ home, my parents keep pointing out that the tip of my nose is sharp, so I finally made up my mind and went around for consultations this time.

O&Young Lee Gyu-ho Jeongwon Seo Man-gun The Co Shop Lee Min-ho Mint

I went to these 4 places.

What I emphasized was about “I’m afraid of side effects, I only want to improve the sharpness of the nasal tip from my current appearance, and correct the crooked nose.” I emphasized naturalness!!

O&Young (private clinic) I was disappointed that Director Oh Young-hwan had retired. Director Lee Gyu-ho also explained things really well and was kind. Since it would be a revision surgery at the same place, the price was the cheapest. Director Lee Gyu-ho said: Reuse the costal cartilage - shave it slightly and reuse it Reuse the silicone - shift its position slightly to correct the crooked nose Harvest ear cartilage + use AlloDerm or autologous tissue as a costal cartilage support for the nasal tip. He said Director Oh Young-hwan’s style was the old-style beoseon-shaped nose, and that he had made it too long, so he would make it slightly more defined. He said it was a basic surgery, not a difficult surgery, so I shouldn’t worry. Since it’s not about increasing the height or changing the style, he said people without a sharp eye might not even notice. I had a CT scan. I also consulted about revision surgery for a chin implant for a retruded chin, but he said my chin is small now, and if I put in something bigger it would look unnatural, so I shouldn’t touch it.

Jeongwon (large hospital) Director Seo Man-gun at Jeongwon This hospital was really hard to book, and it was packed with people from early morning, so I wondered if it was the most popular hospital these days, but I think it was because it’s a large hospital with many doctors. My friend had revision surgery here 10 years ago, and it turned out very naturally and prettily, but my friend said she is now looking into another revision surgery. She said her nose is crooked and she doesn’t like it. My friend didn’t particularly recommend it, but from my perspective, the way her nose changed looked so naturally well done that I really wanted to get a consultation there. The director’s impression and way of speaking were the best, and I trusted him so, so much lol Director Seo said he had done many revision surgeries on Oh Young-hwan patients, and like the directors above said:

Shave and reuse the costal cartilage at the nasal tip Insert ear cartilage as support Insert new silicone

This hospital has a separate director for retruded chin, so I skipped that consultation.

I had a CT scan, and even though I went early in the morning, the waiting time in between was so long that I almost got angry.... Consultation fee: 10,000 won

Mint (private clinic) I went here because many people on this internet community recommended it. The consultation manager was so kind and gave an extremely detailed consultation, and the director had a strong build haha He also spoke very frankly haha The consultation was fun. He told me not to touch my eyes anymore (when I asked, don’t celebrities also get medial epicanthoplasty reconstruction and all do well? he said celebrities cover everything with makeup, and in reality, many have a lot of scar tissue and look strange.ㅎㄷㄷ) He said chin implants for a retruded chin are a surgery with many problems, so if there is no issue now, I shouldn’t touch it. This doctor kept wanting to change the design of my nose haha He also told me to increase the silicone thickness. No CT was taken. He told me the hard truth that whether it’s a first surgery or a revision surgery, there is no such thing as a simple surgery haha He explained why my nose became crooked, and because he explained it in detail, it was easy to understand. He said my facial asymmetry itself is severe, so even if the crookedness is corrected, it can’t be helped that it will become crooked again. The director at Jeongwon looked at the CT and said my nasal bones are symmetrical, and that it probably became crooked because I didn’t manage it well at first.

Anyway, like the other directors:

Grind down and reuse the costal cartilage Reinsert silicone - he wanted it slightly higher Harvest ear cartilage, wrap it with autologous tissue or AlloDerm

But while consulting with the manager, I saw noses they had done before, and they were done so naturally and well that I really wanted to do it here..

Conclusion:

O&Young - eliminated because I don’t think going back to the original place is right. Mint - I liked the before-and-after photos I saw, and I liked the honest consultation with the director. Jeongwon - people say large hospitals aren’t great, but the director’s consultation felt trustworthy and I liked it. Co Shop - seemed to pursue a more glamorous style. Eliminated.
