Eyes: What stressed me out most was that my overlapping double eyelids made my eyes look smaller, and the difference in size between my two eyes made them look uneven. After this eye revision, the asymmetry has definitely improved, so I’m satisfied!
When I was going around to a lot of consultations, other hospitals told me I absolutely had to do ptosis correction too, but here they didn’t push that at all, and the advantage was that I could pretty much have surgery in the direction I wanted.
So I had the revision done with natural adhesion only, without ptosis correction. From after the one-month mark, I felt the minor swelling went down more slowly compared with the previous month. Still, I didn’t have much swelling from the start, so it didn’t bother me too much, but since this wasn’t my first surgery, I plan to keep watching until all the residual swelling is gone.
Nose: This time I definitely had bulbous nose correction, and the surgery used septal cartilage + ear cartilage + donated costal cartilage.
My biggest concern was my blunt nasal tip, so I told the director, please make my nasal tip slim Compared with the one-month mark, a lot of swelling has gone down, so I think the slimmer line shows well.
But for nose surgery, the stabilization period is at least 6 months.. so I’m going to keep watching this too!
Most of all, since I had my eyes and nose done together, it was important for my facial features to look harmonious after everything settled. I had my eye surgery and nose surgery at the same hospital, but with different directors.
Still, the hospital gave me thorough consultations and the directors personally checked my progress every time, so as the patient, I felt reassured. But as I said last time, the interesting thing is that compared with my first surgeries, this time I had less swelling and didn’t even feel enough pain to need to take separate painkillers..! I’ve seen people worried that revision surgery might hurt more, so I wanted to say that it really depends on the case!
I’m still only at the two-month mark, so like I said above, I’ll keep watching! But what’s certain is that both my eyes and nose are prettier than before, so my confidence has gone up, and doing makeup feels fun..
