I’ll write this in the order I visited.
1. ㅇㄴ Plastic Surgery (consultation in Nov. 2021) Consultants: Director ㄱㅅㅇ (cheekbones) + Director ㅇㅈㅇ (fat) Consultation fee: consultation is free + follow-up consultation costs 50,000 won Surgery cost: cheekbone reduction 3.6 million won (separate event price available) + forehead fat grafting 880,000 won (including 2nd round) + double-chin liposuction 1.1 million won = in the 5 million won range Details: I went for a consultation with Director ㄱㅅㅇ, who is mentioned a lot on Gangnam Unni and is said to be very skilled. Actually, I went for a nose consultation, but from then on I got hooked on facial contouring.. haha The director said to me that since I already have a nasal bridge, contouring would probably have a better effect than nose surgery! He said I have slightly prominent lateral cheekbones, so from the temples to the cheeks my face is slightly peanut-shaped, and suggested shaving them a little and fixing them in place. I’m currently undergoing orthodontic treatment, and he said it doesn’t matter at all. He said proper fixation is very important. The material is titanium.
2. ㅇㅍㅅㅌ Plastic Surgery (consultation in July 2022) Consultant: Consultation fee: free Surgery cost: cheekbones + lifting + forehead fat grafting + liposuction + various discounts = total in the mid-to-high 8 million won range Details: I received a consultation for apple-zone cheekbone surgery + midface lift (Endotine) + forehead fat grafting + liposuction. I wasn’t interested in lifting, but when I said I was worried about sagging, the director said my skin is thick and my face is the type that would sag quickly, so he also recommended lifting. - What I liked: The aftercare was really good. Up to the 1-2 month mark, if you just come in every day, you can receive care, and they said that at the post-op consultation they take a CT scan and consult with the director. I got the impression that they care a lot about safety. They said that when you come in after surgery, you watch the surgery CCTV together with the director. - What was disappointing: The surgery time is a bit long. They said cheekbones take 2 hours + fat grafting 1 hour + liposuction 30 minutes, and the director also has break time. Since I’d be on the operating table, I thought the quicker it ended, the less hard it would be for me and the less swelling there would be... They said even if surgery is done in the morning here, discharge is at 8 p.m., so it felt a bit burdensome for someone from out of town. Depending on the person, this may be good or not, but I felt a little uncomfortable because the director recommended things I hadn’t considered, like lifting or chin-tip advancement surgery. Some people are satisfied after being recommended those and doing everything at once, but for me it just felt somewhat burdensome.
3. ㄴㅈㅎ Plastic Surgery (consultation in July 2022) Consultant: Director ㄴㅈㅎ Consultation fee: free Surgery cost: in the 9 million won range Details: Estimate for cheekbones + forehead fat grafting + liposuction. I got the sense that he was extremely professional. Not only safety, but aesthetically too, it was obvious he had thought about things a lot. I think the consultation with the director alone took 1 hour. In terms of safety, first of all it was nice that it’s a one-doctor clinic with few patients waiting at the hospital. I got the feeling that even if a problem occurred afterward, they would take good care of me. They said all the staff are nurses too, so I think they would respond well if an emergency happened... Aesthetically, I liked that he gave so many possible options and asked, what should we do about this, what should we do about that. I had simply thought, if I do cheekbone surgery, it means reducing the cheekbones! But it was kind of from a vector perspective in math...? Where and how much to move it, how much to reduce it, and what would happen as a result... He explained it, so I was like oh... fascinating, but I didn’t really understand it well. The liposuction method was a little unusual. It’s liposuction using a Venus laser. - What I liked: The consideration for safety and aesthetics, and the professionalism, really came through. - What was disappointing: Even now I don’t think my cheekbones are that bad, and since I heard he does things naturally, I was worried it really might not show at all...
4. ㅁㅇㄷㅇ Plastic Surgery (consultation in July 2022) Consultant: Director ㅅㅂㅅ Consultation fee: free Surgery cost: in the 7 million won range Details: Estimate for cheekbones + forehead fat grafting + liposuction. First, I heard the director is very bright and kind. I’d seen him a few times on YouTube, so he felt familiar. The director was very confident, and he has a lot of surgical experience. It wasn’t like there was something hugely like, this is it!! but I just thought, with this director, I could trust him and leave it to him? The director said he would minimize nonunion with ultra-close-contact cheekbone reduction, and that he would minimize skin sagging by doing liposuction. I liked that the director seemed moderately trendy and also seemed to take care of safety. The consultation wasn’t long either. But I just trusted him...
