Nose Re-Surgery

Inflammation after revision rhinoplasty

It’s been more than a year since I had revision rhinoplasty using autologous rib cartilage, but suddenly inflammation developed. I took medication and got injections, and it got better, but when I stopped taking the medication, the inflammation came back. This kept repeating, and in the end I had open irrigation. It’s been 3 months since then, but pus is coming out from the same area again due to inflammation. I guess the right thing to do is remove everything and then have revision rhinoplasty with autologous rib cartilage at least 6 months later, right?

Both my nasal bridge and nasal tip are all autologous rib cartilage, so if I remove everything, I feel like I’ll get annoyed every time I look in the mirror.. The inflammation is horrible, but having my nose become ugly is horrible too, and having to lie on the operating table again and repeat the whole recovery process is so frustrating.

After all this, I feel like once the inflammation fully heals and the tissue/skin condition gets a bit better, I’ll probably try nose surgery one last time because I won’t be satisfied again, but I don’t even know if that’s the right thing to do Ha, seriously, nose surgery.. it’s hell.
