This was my first surgery, done with the buried-suture method for double eyelids. I booked consultations at five clinics and went around to them, and this place was the fourth one. The previous clinics all said different things, and even though it was my first time having a plastic surgery consultation, I kept feeling like, “This isn’t the place,” and the consultations didn’t really give me confidence. I like a natural look, so if possible, I really wanted to do it with the buried-suture method, and because I wanted round-looking eyes, I was even considering an upper canthoplasty. The reason I chose this clinic was that the director first of all examined me calmly and carefully. He said that to achieve the line I wanted, I would need an upper canthoplasty, and then a small epicanthoplasty would also be needed. But I didn’t think I needed an epicanthoplasty. I guess the director also saw it that way. But to create the line I wanted, it was necessary, so he suggested doing the epicanthoplasty minimally, under 1 mm. I liked that he thought through these details and seemed to be considering things delicately to create the line I wanted. I wanted a semi-out line where the front part of the line was not very separated, and I’m satisfied with the line I have now! As you can see from the pre-op photo, I also had ptosis correction.. haha Everyone says it looks natural and like they were always my eyes, so I’m really happy!
