Clinic is clean, staff are okay Maybe because it was Saturday + peak season, there was a long wait (took about 2 hours) The consultation order was consultant > director > consultant As seen in some reviews, the director often looked very tired
Consultation details 1. Nostrils visible from the front - Rather than the nose being upturned, the nostrils themselves are large; they said nostril reduction wouldn't make them pretty even if done, so they didn't recommend it - I wasn't really thinking about nostril reduction anyway, and I didn't like either of the two shapes the director showed me, so I said I didn't want it
2. Upturned nose - Said they would lower it using septal cartilage - They seemed to write down a lot of various techniques, but I don't know much, so none of it registered.. - I said I was worried the nasolabial angle might look too stuffy because my mouth protrudes somewhat, and they said they can't lower it much anyway because of that, and would lower it by around 5 degrees - Their opinion was that if it is lowered a lot, breathing would become uncomfortable
3. Bulbous nose - Type 3 something.. Since it's a lateral bulbous nose, nostril lowering won't be effective - If the nostrils are lowered, the nose will look even blunter and bigger
4. Nasal bridge - Hump nose osteotomy (I didn't expect this) - Thinnest silicone
5. Crooked nose, asymmetry - Since it's not crooked but the axis itself is off, no improvement
6. Other - I said I disliked that, as a downside of my image, my nostrils show a lot from the front and my mouth slightly protrudes, making me look naive, but they said nobody thinks that lol - They said a protruding mouth only goes in with protruding-mouth surgery lol ha - Since it's local anesthesia, thinking about lying there awake for over 2 hours feels overwhelming..
> Overall review Personally, it was my first consultation, so I'm disappointed I couldn't ask detailed questions + the director isn't the style to bring up lots of things first The consultation felt quite conservative overall... so it made me think, do I really need rhinoplasty? For everyone planning to go for a consultation, I recommend going later in your consultation rounds
