People around me kept telling me, to the point that my ears were practically calloused, that everything about me was good and I would be perfect if I just got my nose done, so in the end I had my first surgery without even doing much online or in-person researchㅠㅠ The result was a total failure: it became crooked, and I couldn’t even breathe.. I got so fed up with the side effects that for my second surgery, I had everything removed, from the implant to the cartilage. I guess I lived like that for about 2-3 years.. Then one by one, people around me started getting their noses done, and I was so jealousㅠㅠ I wanted to do it again too,, So this time, I made up my mind and did an enormous amount of online and in-person research, even posting on several communities!!! The clinic I decided on was ㅋㅇㅍㄹㅅ, and I debated a lot between the two directors, but after looking through reviews too, I had it done by Director ㄱㅈㅇ!!
The conditions I wanted were - It had to look natural. (But not the kind of natural where it doesn’t look like surgery at all ㄴㄴ natural < the nose I want <<< a glamorous nose) - Nostril asymmetry, overall symmetry, etc. - It shouldn’t be a large clinic. - I had to feel something click during the consultation with the consultant and the director. - Whether the director personally handles postoperative care. These were my criteria, so everyone who needs it, take note~!
Below is what I scribbled in my notes like a diary, so please bear with me even if it’s written politely,,
<Day of surgery> Since it was my 3rd surgery, I was extremely nervous and tense, but while designing, the director eased me up with small talk, so I had the surgery comfortably. I was touched because not only the consultation consultant but also the other staff saw me off to the end and kept coming in and out to care for me. (I heard I cried a lot after surgery, and I guess I must have cried because of the anesthesiaㅠㅠ I think I had been scared because it was my 3rd time..)
<Day after surgery> It was nice that the director removed the cotton, applied ointment, and explained what had been done during surgery!! The staff member also helped me with a cotton swab without hurting me ㅠㅠ
<Day 3 after surgery> The splint hasn’t been removed yet, but I’ve heard that when surgery goes well, you can already feel it even before splint removal!! It definitely feels like it went well.. Since I’m experienced with revision rhinoplasty, I can just tell.. Ah.. it went well..ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ
<Day 4 after surgery> I’m so happy that I still don’t see any swelling or bruising! Still, just in case, I did compresses about four times a day for around 20 minutes each. I want to see my face with the splint off soon ㅠㅠ Also, the clinic called me that day and said they were worried because I had cried then, so they called.. Honestly, I was really touched ㅠㅠㅠㅠ It felt like all the emotional hardship was melting away,, thank you,, ㅠㅠ
<Day 7 after surgery> As soon as I went in, I saw the director, and they asked first if anything had been uncomfortable and whether I had any more questions, so I said there wasn’t anything. Then they removed the splint, the external stitches, and the ear cotton? or something like that. As expected, even before removal I thought this was definitely a success.. and it really was a success.. The nostrils from the front and from below are symmetrical!!!! The nasal tip also isn’t leaning to either side ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ And I think they accurately caught that vague feeling of natural but glamorous.. 100% the feeling I wanted.. Also, I had felt this before, but everyone here, from the staff to the director, is kind.. I even properly got the swelling laser treatment before leaving.
