Hello! This January, because of my underbite and malocclusion, I had double-jaw surgery and two types of facial contouring surgery (square jaw and chin) at an oral and maxillofacial clinic, and it has already been over a year since the surgery! Now I have gotten so used to it that I can barely remember what my face looked like before, and I am living my life adapted to it.
It is simply amazing that something I had considered a lifelong complex could change a person so much in just one year, and that I could adapt and live this way.
Everything is thanks to Director Lee Seok-jae performing the surgery so well, and I would once again like to express my gratitude to the nurses who took such good care of me by my side.
I thought everything would be over once the surgery was done, but even while undergoing orthodontic treatment, I feel that my face is becoming more complete!
I had thought orthodontic treatment was not a big deal, but it is also an important part. Taking the appliance in and out is inconvenient, but since this was surgery I made a big decision to undergo, I am working hard and doing it diligently.
My life has changed a lot after surgery. I have found the self I had lost, started taking care of myself, spend more time looking in the mirror, and have even found joy in dressing myself up. For 34 years, I had never had a reason to like myself or think about myself, but after this, I feel proud because I feel like I am living a life fully for myself ^^
I really hesitated a lot, but until I finally made up my mind to have surgery!! If you think of it as even a slight complex, I want to recommend surgery without hesitation, and the changed life afterward has come to me as even greater happiness.
To put it bluntly, if I had an underbite again now, I could lie down on the operating table again without hesitation.
