4) ㄴㄴ Plastic Surgery Clinic
Consultation order: CT - ENT director ㅈ - consultant ㅈ (skin does not stretch well, support the nasal tip with septal cartilage, tie the nasal alars with cotton swabs, silicone 3-4) - director ㅈ - consultant ㅈ
Cost: 9,300 won (ENT consultation)
ENT director: The front part of the septum is deviated, and on the day of consultation, the left inferior turbinate was more swollen
Consultant: I said I preferred a natural straight-to-slightly-curved line The consultant had a plainspoken and honest style
Director: Put about 3-4 mm silicone in the nasal bridge, do the nasal tip with septal cartilage, and if any remains, add it in a rounded shape; if the septal cartilage is insufficient, ear cartilage may be used
Estimate: Functional nose 1.2 million won, 80% Cosmetic 2.3 million won Total 3.5 million won (2.7 million won out-of-pocket)
Duration: 3 hours + 1 hour anesthesia (sedation anesthesia) An anesthesiology director is on-site
5) ㅂㄹㅋ Plastic Surgery Clinic
CT -> director -> consultant Consultation fee 10,000 won Estimate: functional 1.4 million won + cosmetic 2 million won (cash price, VAT separate) + 200,000 won if paying by card (VAT), total 3.4-3.6 million won (200,000 won off for cash)
Nasal bridge silicone 3-4 mm, finish the nasal tip using ear cartilage (septal cartilage seemed insufficient), skin that does not stretch well
They said twice that my current nose shape was not bad, They showed me the post-surgery look with Photoshop, but there was not a big difference in nose height, so I froze for a moment
The director is an ENT specialist but specializes only in rhinoplasty and has many cases; they were honest and confident, so the clinic felt trustworthy
6) ㅊㄷㅊ Clinic
CT -> consultant -> director -> consultant Medical fee in the 20,000-won range Estimate: functional 1.22 million won + cosmetic 3.5 million won (VAT separate)
Inferior turbinate reduction (the septum is not severely deviated, so septoplasty is not necessary -> this was the first time I heard that septal correction was not needed...), slightly raise the nasal bridge with 2 mm silicone, support the nasal tip with septal cartilage, slightly smooth a mild hump and uneven surface (the director looked directly inside my nose, inserted a cotton swab and touched it, then said my septal cartilage was not weak or insufficient) , 1-year aftercare/AS
This is where a director who used to be at ㅋㅋㄹㅇ opened their own clinic; it is right in front of the station and the clinic is clean. The CT and photo-taking were the most detailed, and why did I notice the nose of the teacher who took the CT? It was pretty! When you go, they show you a video in the consultation room using the director's recorded material, explaining nose surgery from the basics, so beginners can study. Here too, they said my current nose shape was not bad, and the director explained everything delicately like a big uncle, showed before-and-after photos with Photoshop, and I told them my concerns about side effects and what the previous consultation clinics had said. Seriously... for someone with severe anxiety about safety issues, this was an expert who helped me calm down + a director who pursues safety! ㅊㄷㅊ was the hardest place to book, but there was no pressure to reserve, and it felt trustworthy!
------------- Personal Summary After Visiting 6 Places -----------
1. 70-80% of the general population has a deviated septum, but not everyone has surgery
2. Surgery comes with side effects
3. Therefore, unless the nose is truly extremely unattractive or there is a major functional problem that makes it unavoidable, think very carefully about surgery
4. Even if you think it over and decide on rhinoplasty, it is more comfortable to assume that this nose surgery may not end with just one operation and that you could have a second surgery at any time (whether removal surgery or reconstruction surgery)
5. After visiting clinics in person rather than just researching online, I ended up worrying more about surgery, and the reason is that the side effects and my anxiety about safety issues are too severe. I can't sleep at night thinking about having surgery ㅠ ㅠ
Sigh... Are there others with the same worries as me?
