The hospital I chose was ㄴㅇㄷ, and I visited 5 places for consultations and spoke with 6 doctors
1. ㄴㅇㄷ First of all, this was the last place I went to for a consultation, so I had already learned a bit about my nose by then! There was basically no waiting, and both the consultant and the doctor were very kind! Especially the doctor, who felt like the kindest and best at consulting among all the places I went to, haha. I think the consultation played a big part in why I chose them. I'm the type to worry a lot, and I had a very clear idea of the nose I wanted, but I also had a very clear idea of the shape I absolutely did not want, so I even searched for photos of noses I didn't want and showed them all. I think I trusted this doctor most because they really picked up on that point well. My skin is on the thin side, and this doctor was one of only two places, including here, that noticed and pointed that out, so I felt I should go with a doctor who would recognize that. When I looked up reviews, I was worried because I heard this doctor was good at a glamorous look (and I absolutely did not want an obvious, flashy look). But as soon as they saw my face, they said a glamorous look wouldn't suit me and would throw off the harmony, so their surgical direction matched mine the best, which is why I chose them!!
2. ㄷㅇㅇ I got consultations from two doctors here, and this was the hospital I kept wavering over until the end together with ㄴㅇㄷ! It made it to the final shortlist, but the reason I chose ㄴㅇㄷ was that this is a huge hospital, so almost everyone has probably heard of it at least once. Because of that, the waiting time was way too long, and people wearing gowns with pen marks on their faces like they were already marked up for surgery were just sitting in chairs waiting together with people who had come only for consultations.. And when the doctors came in, one of them had a really strong chocolate? sweet smell on their hands. I'm a little sensitive to stuff like that, so I did think, if they're coming to touch my nose, shouldn't they have washed their hands first? But my mom said it was fine, so I let it go^^ But I got consultations from two doctors here, and the silicone maxima and minima they'd recommended up until then were all over the place. Usually it was 4 to 4.5, but here one said 3 and the other said 6.. So from my own 기준, there was a bit of something suspicious there..! The consultation also felt kind of rushed, like they were just waving things off, and I felt the waiting and aftercare weren't being handled properly, so I decided not to choose it. A week before I decided on a hospital, my friend had eye and nose surgery here and was getting their stitches removed. When I compared what my friend felt during surgery with the hospital atmosphere I felt during consultation, I thought I would get stressed out if I had surgery here.. And I also got the impression that the hospital wasn't very clean. There was dust all over the consultation room.. Still, the reason I kept considering it until the end was because one of the doctors there had many noses in the reviews that I liked the most!! But just hoping for that one thing felt too risky, given all the other concerns.
3. ㄷㄴ This place is famous for doing only noses, and it was actually really hard to get an appointment. But when I went for the consultation, they said that here alone I absolutely had to have alar reduction in order to get that glamorous look.. I didn't want a glamorous look, and every other hospital except this one said alar reduction wasn't necessary and that my nose was small. But they kept insisting it had to be reduced, so I told them I didn't want obvious glamour and didn't want reduction, yet they kept recommending it. So the moment I left, it was off the list and eliminated. I felt like my wishes weren't being respected, and the doctor seemed like the type who likes making the kind of nose they personally prefer, so I felt it wasn't right for me..
4. ㅇㅂㅈ This was the hospital that made the best first impression the moment I walked in. It felt big, clean, and spacious. The consultant was good and kind, but the doctor seemed tired.. First of all, they didn't listen to me at all and only said what they wanted to say.. Every time I tried to speak, they would go, ah~, cut me off, and just keep talking about themselves^^ They didn't even look at the photos, and it felt less like I was there for a consultation and more like I was there to get a quote..?
