(1) I first chose the clinics I wanted to go to for consultations I narrowed down a list of places I wanted to visit mostly by looking at reviews on plastic surgery apps, but I didn’t just look at the photos. I read the content carefully too, and instead of places that only said things like “It’s so good~ I’m satisfied~,” I took screenshots of reviews that described in detail how many cc they used, what cup size changed to what cup size, and how the body changed up to one month after surgery. Then I planned my route and went! (Detailed reviews felt more trustworthy to me.) Marble (Gangnam), Glam (Nonhyeon), BonBon (Hakdong) I went to these three, and all of them are close to subway stations, so they’re really easy to find.
(2) I studied things like implant types, incision sites, and surgical methods by watching YouTube Everyone probably has a different study style, but I couldn’t go for consultations right away, so I studied really hard on YouTube. These days, almost all information is on YouTube.. lol You don’t have to watch only videos from the clinics you booked, so I hope you watch a lot of videos and study. So with my shallow knowledge, I expected that I’d probably get dual-plane / inframammary incision / around 300 cc.
(3) Starting clinic visits I find it so fascinating that everyone here manages to go to all the places they want in one day, because I couldn’t book appointments well, so I went around for a total of two days: one day in Gangnam and one day in Nonhyeon/Hakdong lol At first I wondered if it was a waste of time since I wasn’t even going to 3-4 places in a day, but once I actually went and listened to the explanations, I spent almost an hour just listening to breast-related talk.. In the end, I was glad I booked it that way lol
For reference, my rib cage is 72 and my breast pocket is 10.5. At Marble, they recommended 265/245 cc; at Glam, 265 cc; and at BonBon, 285 cc.
I wanted to go up to a full C, but the recommendations were much smaller than I expected.. so I wondered, is this right? But when I tried the sizers on, it was exactly the ideal breast size I had imagined, so I also thought it might be okay, and I got confused.
They all explained why they recommended smaller cc sizes overall.. First, my tissue is on the tight side, I have a protruding chest, and my breast pocket is very small. They said putting in a larger size unreasonably could be satisfying right now, but if I think about a few years later, I might regret that choice.
All the clinics I consulted at had directors with over 20 years of experience, so when the consultants gave additional explanations, they showed before-and-after photos of cases like mine too.. But you know, right? With breast size, you can’t help wanting more Still, I said I wanted to go bigger, and they recommended that if I kept hesitating, it would be better to go to more consultations..
(4) Conclusion In the end, I didn’t put down a deposit anywhere...! Honestly, I learned that even if you like a place, you shouldn’t put down a deposit from the first consultation (from this community... hehe), so I only had consultations and left, but I really had a lot to think about. Also, I heard that if you force in too much compared with your breast pocket, there can be nerve damage and the feel and shape can become unnatural (I learned this from this community too..), so I’m planning to accept that this size is ideal for my body..
Both Marble and Glam took more than an hour just for the consultation. At Marble, the doctor’s consultation was long, and at Glam, the consultant’s consultation was on the longer side. Still, I could learn a lot about breast surgery, and they explained in detail how the same cc can look different depending on body size, so there was a lot to learn. If it’s your first time going around for breast consultations like me, I recommend starting with places that explain things in detail like these!
And after going around for consultations, what I felt is that the look I wanted before the consultations and the issues I had to think about after the consultations became totally different. Sometimes I see posts from people who decide after going to only 1-2 places, but I hope people like me go to at least 3 places..! I’m still thinking too, so if I can’t decide, I plan to go to more consultations. I wrote this because this is what I wanted to say most.
