At the first place I went to, they just looked and said, “Close your eyes once and open them,” that was about it. My eyes are the type that swell easily, and there were a lot of times when I fell asleep after crying a lot and slept very little. That’s when the line started loosening. After looking at my eyes, they said my eyes swell during the day and go down at night, so if swelling keeps coming and going, my skin is the type where the line can loosen. That was exactly right lol I wanted to follow my existing line, so I showed them my old photos, and they marked it once along the existing line and showed me. But what I really wanted was feedback about my eyes, like whether there wasn’t enough extra skin or whether my eyelids lacked strength. They only said I have protruding eyes and skin that swells easily, and said my eyes are pretty. So when I asked if there was anything else I needed, they said I didn’t need ptosis correction and that it was fine. When I looked it up, it seems this director doesn’t really recommend ptosis correction much. (I wasn’t planning on doing it anyway) But somehow... the director and consultant were all kind, and I think they said they had 20 years of experience, so they did seem confident, but you know that feeling of, “Huh?” when they say everything is okay more smoothly than expected lololol
At the second place, first I filled out and submitted a detailed questionnaire? on a tablet about how I wanted to improve and why I wanted to do it. This place recommended ptosis correction. They said as I get older my eyes will become more sunken, and my left and right sides are different. My eyes are asymmetrical, so even when I look at old photos, the size or shape is a bit different. But I tend to think perfect symmetry doesn’t exist anyway, and I’ve never been very dissatisfied. I lived pretty satisfied with them, so when I said I didn’t want to do it, they said then incision alone would be fine. They kept having me close and open my eyes while explaining my eye condition and the issues, and what they said was similar to what I usually thought.
Since if I do it this time it would be a third revision, and the buried sutures all came undone, both places recommended incision. Both the first and second places had same-day reservation discounts. The first place said it was 100,000 won but fully refundable, and the second was 50,000 won, but a full refund would be difficult and they said I could use it instead at some distant dermatology clinic??) or something like that, so I made a same-day reservation at the first place and didn’t at the second. Oh, but when I looked it up again, it seems some places require you to go in person to receive it even if it’s fully refundable!!! Ah I should’ve asked You guys should definitely ask later
