After after<front>Yesterday was day 7 after nose surgery! I'll post a review I wrote while heading back after removing the splint~~ I didn't touch the bridge height (no implant), and I had osteotomy of the bones beside the nasal bridge, using septal cartilage and ear cartilage to correct my blunt nasal tip. I'll go through the progress from the day of surgery!
Surgery day I went into the operating room at 1, did the design, and got anesthesia! When I opened my eyes, it was 3:50. I think it finished well earlier than expected, I woke up from anesthesia well, and I had no pain! I was shocked by the massive taping and moved by the fact that I had finally had nose surgery! I didn't see any swelling or bruising. I had worried because people said my throat would feel like it was tearing, but it wasn't to that extent, and water went down better than expected. At home, I raised the angle of the bed backrest and stayed like that. I ate porridge, took medicine, and rested! I thought I wouldn't sleep well, but I ended up sleeping longer than expected, waking up and repeating that. I was worried about bleeding, so I bought a lot of gauze, but there wasn't much bleeding either!
+Day 1 I got disinfection at the hospital and the cotton removed. Removing the cotton didn't hurt either; it was just uncomfortable, like “oo-woong~.” As they removed all the taping and showed me my nose, it was so fascinating to see how the sides had gone in from the osteotomy, and it was amazing that there wasn't much swelling or bruising! The fascia filled in the glabella looked slightly bumpy, but they said it was because it was being pressed by the splint and taping. After checking, they put the splint + taping back on, gave me a swelling injection and antibiotic injection, and I went home.
+Day 3 I went to the hospital, got disinfection, and checked the nose shape! I thought there would be swelling and bruising under the splint and taping, but even after removing them there wasn't much. For now, the upturned-looking nose made me both worried and amused(?).
+Day 7 Finally, the day to remove the splint! Splint removal + disinfection + stitch removal!! I was nervous because I had seen many posts saying that even if the nose doesn't hurt, the ear hurts, but I felt nothing to the point where I wondered if it was over! I thought it would at least feel like plucking an eyebrow, but it ended with no pain, so I was just grateful,, When I first saw my nose, one side was swollen asymmetrically, so I was worried, but the doctor explained that it was because the degree of osteotomy was different, that the skin would gradually adhere to the bone, and that the swelling would go down. When I looked at it on the bus ride back, I could already see it going down little by little! So fascinating!! They said once the splint comes off, it goes down quickly, and seeing it go down even in that short time made me relieved on the way back~~!
This is the progress I had written up to yesterday~ I guess this is what it means for swelling to go down in real time. Once the splint that had been pressing on it was removed, the swelling went down quickly. It looks upturned and even feels like my philtrum is lifted, so looking in the mirror still feels awkward, but I hope it comes down nicely to an appropriate level!! For now, my complexes were the wide bones from the front and side and my wide nasal alae, and I'm grateful because they improved in a really satisfying way hehe
