I had surgery at Y Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery on July 4 last year! Since I had an underbite, I had gone to several dental clinics since I was young, but they all told me I was a double-jaw surgery case. I couldn’t do it because of work and various issues, but I finally had the surgery this time at Y Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery!
Even at 3 months after surgery, a lot of the swelling had already gone down, so I wondered, “Is there even more to go down?” But the swelling went down even more, to the point that I could feel it gradually reducing I can definitely feel that my face got smaller. When I used a sheet mask, it used to be too small for my face!! Now there’s extra!! It’s really amazing.
My bite also fits much better than at 3 months, so now I can eat all foods well without scissors. I can do things that were my dream when I had malocclusion, like cutting noodles with my front teeth, and I can bite into apples too
The surgery went well, but they also took such good care of me after surgery, so I’m living very satisfied~!! They keep checking my orthodontic progress and whether I have any discomfort, and every time I go for monthly follow-up checks, I can see changes, so I like it
I hope I quickly reach the 1-year mark too, so all the swelling and recovery will be completely over heheh
