Since I was going to do it anyway, I thought, let’s do under-eye fat repositioning at the hospital most famous for it! So I looked for a hospital, and I was able to have a consultation and surgery with Director Jang Wook at Objet Plastic Surgery. Because the hollows under my eyes were severe and thin, fat grafting was also recommended, so I decided to have that done together.
On the day of surgery, I received a detailed explanation and proceeded with the surgery. Immediately after surgery, after recovering, I was able to cover up well with a hat and mask and come home. For daily life afterward, it seems like going to work should be fully possible if you use a mask.
Under-eye fat repositioning = dark circle surgery, as people generally know it, so after surgery, you might mistakenly think your dark circles will become brighter. But it would be good to know that under-eye fat repositioning is literally a surgery that flattens and repositions the protruding fat under the eyes, not a surgery that brightens dark circles. (For about one month right after surgery, there was a temporary effect of looking brighter because of swelling.)
Still, the under-eye fat that appeared when I smiled became flattened out, and I feel like my previously tired-looking impression has improved, so I recommend it to those considering under-eye fat repositioning.
