For a few years, my right temporomandibular joint had been hurting, so I’d been thinking I should get Botox. The factory-style clinic I go to for hair removal was having an event, so I tried it. I basically have no jaw muscles, so there was no cosmetic effect. The manager felt my muscles and said they would inject more on the right, but the doctor looked with their eyes and said the left was bigger, so they put more on the left; I just got it. The effect was… it definitely wasn’t like, “It doesn’t hurt at all, this is a whole new world.” I kept thinking every day, does it even have an effect? I got it cheaply through the event, but next time I think I’ll go somewhere else.
