My nasal alae aren’t that big, but I had a complex about my nostrils being lifted sideways, so I decided to have surgery! I was scared of nose surgery because of side effects, so I chose the relatively simple alar reduction.. During the consultation, the director shaped my nostril wings and said what suits my nose is alar reduction, correction of drooping alae, and columella improvement~ so I did them together haha They didn’t particularly recommend anything else like the nasal bridge, and the staff were kind too.
After the surgery, the swelling wasn’t severe, and there wasn’t anything especially uncomfortable except holding back my laughter after surgery. It differs by person, but for me, other than a pulling feeling when laughing, there wasn’t any separate pain. Even the friends who tried to stop me, saying why do it and that it wouldn’t change much even if I did it, now say it actually looks better after doing it, so I’m satisfied.. haha It feels like my impression looks more refined. The incision area healed naturally too, and I’m really happy that the thing I’d been stressed about all this time is resolved..
