Cheekbone Surgery Reviews

A truly honest review of consultations for facial contouring/nose surgery in Busan (ㅍㄹㄷㅇ, ㅈㅇ…

I’m someone who lives outside the capital area. While looking into facial contouring surgery, Seoul felt too far, and thinking about going back for follow-ups during recovery seemed difficult, so I went around for consultations in Busan.

Consultation areas: facial contouring, nose My face: round from the front, with a somewhat angular square jaw from the side The glabella area is sunken, and I do have a nasal bridge, but I have a hump nose + bulbous nose.

1. ㅍㄹㄷㅇ No pressure to pay a deposit, CT fee during consultation 10,000 won

Consultation with the director -> consultation with the consultant

<Facial contouring> Recommended cheekbones and square jaw (said just square jaw would be okay too) Cheekbone + square jaw surgery: face becomes smaller, empty space is reduced Square jaw surgery only: can create a softer impression, but the face will not become smaller They said the key technique is cutting the square jaw bone in a long line They said even square jaw surgery alone would have a frontal effect (cortical osteotomy) They said there would be no cheek sagging even with cheekbone surgery -> trust dropped a little here

<Nose> Recommended trimming the nasal tip, tying the cartilage, and placing thin silicone in the glabella area A non-implant option is possible, but not recommended I have a high bulbous nose, so I wanted it to become slimmer rather than higher, and the director said that was possible -> trust dropped a little on this part

<Other matters> 1-day hospitalization for facial contouring surgery An anesthesiologist is on-site CCTV available Swelling-care service + 3 shampoo services Only 1 facial contouring surgery per day (they said they would only look after me during the morning)

<Overall atmosphere> The director and consultant were very confident and had a lot of pride The CT equipment and interior facilities were clean and modern They gave a thorough consultation, and I asked a lot of things, which they explained well They strongly emphasized that they are a hospital specializing in facial contouring

2. ㅈㅇㅅㅌ No pressure to pay a deposit, no consultation fee (no CT scan)

<Facial contouring> Cheekbones: Absolutely do not do it. They said I do not have prominent cheekbones and that my face is on the slim side. They said places recommending cheekbone surgery are strange places Square jaw: Not really... not recommended. Even if I did it, it would just remove the mandibular angle below the ear, so there would not be much frontal effect, only a side-view effect; they said I should get Botox instead

<Nose> A bulbous nose always becomes slimmer while also becoming higher. My nose is a high bulbous nose, so it is a difficult case. Even if the hump is shaved down, it will grow back, so it needs to be covered with silicone (no non-implant option) I would probably lose more than I gain from surgery, so they did not really recommend it

<Conclusion> Do not do either the jaw or the nose.

<Overall atmosphere> I felt they were really honest. The consultant also said facial contouring surgery is a bigger surgery than it looks and that they do not necessarily recommend it. That part felt trustworthy, and if you are getting facial contouring consultations in Busan, it is worth having at least one consultation there. The consultation time was short, but it felt like they told me what I needed to hear.

*** Conclusion **** For facial contouring, I think I would do only the square jaw at ㅍㄹㄷㅇ, and for the nose, I will probably do it at another hospital specializing in nose surgery
