8-year review after double-jaw surgery for malocclusion

Hello I'm already entering my 8th year since double-jaw surgery. When I was preparing for surgery and recovering, I read so many reviews, got comfort from them, and received a lot of help... I'm only writing my review now.

First, I had orthodontic treatment + double-jaw surgery for malocclusion. It was so long ago that all the doctors at the hospital where I had it have changed. So I don't think I can tell you the hospital or doctor's name.

First, if there's one thing that changed the most after double-jaw surgery, it's that once my jaw went in, I could digest food better, and aesthetically, it's nice that my bite is aligned. (But I didn't become prettier... just me with my jaw set back!)ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

Anyway, along with these positive changes, there were things I lost too. First, sagging skin... I think this is inevitably related to double-jaw surgeryㅠ My pores stretch vertically, and there's sagging around the corners of my mouth like jowls. So I'm getting lifting treatments regularly.

And from my right jaw to the central part of my cheek, the nerves haven't fully come back, so when I'm tired it feels heavy, sometimes tingles, and I don't really notice if something gets on it.. I mentioned this to the doctor when I first had the surgery, but they said it was because it hadn't been long since the surgery, so I let it pass. But even now, 8 years later, it hasn't recoveredㅎㅎ Now I've just given up and live with it

It was a surgery where I lost as much as I gained. Back then I was young and didn't know much, so I just did it at the hospital recommended by the dental clinic. Everyone, please look into it carefully before doing it ㅎㅎ
