First-surgery consultation review for eyes and nose!!! I had posted this on a plastic surgery app before, and I’m posting it here too. Hope it helps!
My existing eyes: in-out? low and slightly deep double eyelids, small “cockle-shell” eyes (with epicanthal folds) -> Considering double eyelid surgery, want upper/inner/outer/lower canthoplasty (to increase horizontal length) My existing nose: relatively high nasal bridge, bulky nasal dorsum? and alar area. (The hump is not visible to the eye, but there is a very tiny one when touched) -> No silicone, only want bulbous nose correction at the nasal tip! For the nose, I brought the photos I wanted!!!
@ Daegu Lee Youngjin (consultation fee 5,000 won) - More detailed in a post I wrote before! - Waited about 30 minutes? - Consultation proceeded doctor > consultant - Consultation style: took photos with an iPad and consulted while looking at them together - Eyes: did not recommend double eyelid surgery. If doing it, partial incision (because I already have double eyelids), inner/outer/lower canthoplasty. (Said I have a lot of space for inner canthoplasty) - Nose: without touching the bridge, only nasal tip fat repositioning, cartilage tying, ear cartilage, columella insertion - Cost: eyes partial incision + inner canthoplasty 1.65 million, dual 1.10 million, nose 3.30 million (cash 3.00 million) (same cost even if doing the nasal bridge) - Notes: Said I don’t have a hump (I think they touched it to check) - Kindness 5 / detailed explanation 4
@ Gangnam Marble (no consultation fee) - I had designated the eye doctor (ㅅㅇㅎ) and nose doctor (ㄱㅈㅎ), but because I was late, both eyes and nose were done with Dr. ㄱㅈㅎ - Waited about 20 minutes - Consultation proceeded consultant > doctor > consultant - Style: before the doctor consultation, wore a headband and had photos taken with a DSLR - Eyes: did not recommend double eyelid surgery. Since I already have them, inner and outer/lower canthoplasty alone would be enough - Nose: diagnosed a hump (!!! very tiny), recommended shaving the hump, adding a little silicone, septal cartilage and ear cartilage for the nasal tip. When I said I hate the nasal bridge!!!! they recommended only the nasal tip with no implant. - Cost: inner 550,000, outer/lower 770,000, nose 2.60 million (same cost even if doing the bridge, but I think there was an added cost if shaving the hump..) - Notes: If accompanied by a guardian, you can watch the surgery video / must post a total of 6 reviews - Kindness 3 (doctor looked tired) / detailed explanation 4
@ Apgujeong Pop (no consultation fee) - Designated eye doctor (ㄱㅅㅇ) and nose doctor (ㅈㅅㅇ) - Waited about 30 minutes - Consultant > eye doctor > nose doctor > consultant - Style: wore a headband and had DSLR photos taken, then also had a CT scan - Eyes: the consultant recommended double eyelid surgery and upper/inner/outer/lower canthoplasty, and asked what Marble had recommended, so I said they didn’t recommend double eyelid surgery. When the doctor came in, they did not recommend double eyelid surgery. Recommended upper/inner/outer/lower canthoplasty - Nose: shave the very tiny hump (for a curved line), then silicone, fill a little ear cartilage in the nasal bridge between the eyes, and recommended nasal tip ear cartilage, septal cartilage, and deviated nose (!!!!). I hate deviated nose correction and nasal bridge!!! -> hump osteotomy, nasal tip - Cost: partial disclosure (4 times each per app, total 8 times) review writing Eyes (upper/inner/outer/lower each 300,000) 1.32 million, nose (basic 1.00 million + hump 500,000 + bulbous nose 400,000 + ear cartilage 500,000) total 3.96 million. (deviated nose service) However, if paying a 100,000 won deposit that day, 3.70 million. If not, 3.96 million + 200,000; in other words, 400,000 won changes back and forth. There was pressure that wasn’t exactly pressure about the deposit, so I didn’t book - Notes: If accompanied by a guardian, surgery video can be checked / no anesthesiologist ❌ - Kindness: eye doctor 4, nose doctor 5, consultant 2 / detail: eye doctor 5, nose doctor 5 - The consultant said they also provide good aftercare, think of the patient until the end, and are patient-centered, and they were kind, but when I said I wouldn’t put down a deposit, they gave me a business card with “+200,000 won later” written on it, left without saying anything, and didn’t say goodbye when I left either, so I wondered whether the aftercare would really be good. When we texted about the deposit, in the end I didn’t pay it, and there wasn’t really a reply; I texted again after a few days, but there was no reply.. Unlike what they said, I didn’t feel that they cared about patients that much. (+ On the paper you fill out as soon as you enter, there are fields for hospitals you have visited and hospitals you plan to visit, and they also asked what the hospitals I had visited had recommended)
@ Sinsa PR (no consultation fee) - The wait was really.. total 2 hours.. Did the doctor consultation even last 5 minutes,,ㅎ It was the shortest - Consultant > doctor > consultant - Style: no photos taken, wore a headband and consulted - Eyes: recommended upper/inner? outer/lower canthoplasty, and said try double eyelid surgery later after canthoplasty! - Nose: (maybe because it’s a hospital that does a lot of nasal tip only) nasal tip ear cartilage - Cost: review writing under partial disclosure condition, 3 times each? upper/inner/outer/lower (don’t remember) nose (1.87 million?) - Notes: There is CCTV, but some rooms have it and some don’t, so you can’t check it❗️ So I excluded them!, During the consultation they told my guardian to stay out and only I should come in, so I thought it was for taking photos, but it was the consultation ㄷㄷ - Kindness 4, detail 3
@ Daegu Leaders (consultation fee 5,000 won per doctor, total 10,000 won) - Designated eye doctor (ㅇㅅㅇ) and nose doctor (ㅅㅈㅁ) - When the wait passed 40 minutes, I started getting annoyed. I even arrived earlier than scheduled, so if it’s going to be like that, I don’t know why they have appointment times; I think I went in at the 50-minute mark. - Doctor > consultant - Style: wore a headband and consulted while looking at DSLR photos - Eyes: because the double eyelid line is low, canthoplasty would not have much effect, recommended full incision. Recommended inner/outer/lower canthoplasty. Eyes where inner canthoplasty won’t do much (if doing more, they’ll look spread apart). They didn’t create a line and only explained verbally. It was my first hospital that didn’t draw/hold the line.. - Nose: a nose where silicone cannot be inserted even if I wanted to put it in the bridge. Recommended shaving the very tiny hump, putting ear cartilage between the brows (it won’t become higher, but for the line), and nasal tip ear cartilage. I was the most!!!!!! satisfied with this consultation!!!!!! It was extremely detailed and delicate. They were very serious + delicate, like a nose that needed surgery today, so I was very satisfied. - Cost: no review event. Eyes full incision 1.30 million, inner 500,000, outer 700,000, nose 3.00 million - Notes: I didn’t ask about CCTV.. Nose anesthesia is brief sleep sedation followed by local anesthesia (same as Lee Youngjin) - Kindness: eye doctor 3? nose doctor 5, consultant 4 / detail: eyes 2, nose 5
The only place with deposit pressure(?) was Pop. If it weren’t for that, I would have made up my mindㅠ The doctor consultation was good, so I’m thinking of going for a re-consultation, but I’m worrying a lot because I don’t think it’s a hospital with the perfect aftercare response I wanted.. I also wonder if I should just do it in Daegu.. The nose consultation at Leaders was also so good. I still have an eye consultation at Gangnam First left. And I’m planning more consultations in Gangnam around next month! Everyone! Don’t feel reassured just because a hospital has CCTV installed. There may be cases where you can’t view it, so make sure to ask whether you can view it, whether there is a cost, how long the viewing period is, etc. before going!!
