<Front><Side>Before<Before surgeryㅠㅠ>I had surgery with Mentor Extra Smooth through the transaxillary approach, together with accessory breast removal! I got 325 cc inserted equally on the left and right sides.
At the hospital where I had it done, they fixed the inframammary fold for about 2 weeks, used only an upper band, and did not use a compression bra!
But the cotton padding where my left breast inframammary fold was fixed pressed so tightly that it hurt so much I could barely walk for the full 2 weeksㅠㅠㅠㅠ
After 2 weeks, when they removed the stitches and took off the cotton, I felt like I could finally liveㅋㅋㅋ
[Day of surgery] The surgery took a little over an hour, and I was hospitalized for one day. During the one day of hospitalization, I had drains in. They say many people don’t have pain after surgery, but I was in so much pain that I regretted having the surgeryㅠㅠ I couldn’t find a comfortable position, my back and shoulders felt so sore and painful, and I wished I could at least sleep, but the position was so uncomfortable that I couldn’t sleep either…ㅠㅠㅠㅠ I went alone without a guardian, so whenever I wanted to go to the bathroom or get up, I had to call the nurses, and I felt self-conscious about itㅠㅠ Thankfully, the bed in the hospital room was an electric bed? It was height-adjustable, so it was at least just a little more comfortable.. I actually felt more comfortable sitting up, so I raised the backrest and sat there, but later maybe because my blood wasn’t circulating? My face turned pale and I felt like I was going to throw upㅠㅠ The nurse told me I needed to lie down, so I lay down and felt a bit better. The first day was really so hardㅠㅠㅠㅠ
[Day 2 to Day 5] They removed the drains the day after surgery, and it was so much more comfortableㅠㅠ When the drains are pulled out, the sensation is really strange, but once they’re out, it gets much more comfortable than the first day. My home isn’t in Seoul, so I went home by taxi, and it hurt so much every time the car turned a curve or went over a speed bumpㅠㅠㅠ I also got carsick, and the ride home was really tortureㅠㅠ Other people said they felt okay after about 5 days or a week, but my inframammary fold hurt so much that I could barely walkㅠㅠ The reason I limited it to 5 days is that if it hadn’t been for the inframammary fold pain, I think by 5 days I would have been doing reasonably okay.
[Day 5 to 2 weeks] For 2 weeks, I mostly stayed propped up with 2 to 3 backrest cushions. When my lower back hurt too much, I would lie completely down and ask my mom to help me get upㅠㅠ I couldn’t lie down or get up on my own, and I walked really slowly. Because of the upper band, I couldn’t digest well, it compressed me so tightly that things broke out on my skin, it was itchy, I couldn’t wash properly and feel refreshed, and it was such a hard time for both my mom helping me and me..ㅠㅠ At 2 weeks, after removing the stitches, taking off the cotton, and removing the upper band, I felt like I could finally live, and I was so satisfied that I had done my breastsㅎㅎ
Now I’m at 2 months, but I still feel a foreign-body sensation, it feels stiffer when I wake up, and because my breasts feel like they shift to one side, I can’t lie on my side.
There’s no major inconvenience in daily life, but the foreign-body sensation is still there. The texture is still soft and bouncy.
The scars are still dark, but they’re well hidden in the armpit creases, so I think they won’t be very visible over timeㅎㅎ
Now that I’m forgetting the pain and going out, I think I’m glad I had the surgeryㅎㅎ Before surgery I was an AA cup, so even when it was hot I wore padded bras every day and couldn’t even dream of wearing a bikiniㅠㅠ.. Now it’s fun to get dressed, my clothes fit better, and I feel more confidentㅎㅎ!
I hope time passes quickly so the foreign-body sensation goes away and the texture gets better!
If you’re thinking about surgery, make sure to buy a zero-gravity chair or a triangular cushion…!
