If you're getting plastic surgery at a local clinic, look into it carefully before you go...

First of all, I had a partial-incision double eyelid surgery and epicanthoplasty about 11? 12? years ago. I had been using double eyelid glue/liquid since middle school, and I guess my mom really hated seeing me sitting in front of the mirror doing that before school. So without knowing anything, I was basically dragged by my mom to a local plastic surgery clinic and got surgery. Back then I was just an ordinary high school student, so maybe that was why, but I didn't even think to look up which places were famous. I went to a local clinic because someone's mom's friend had gone there and said it was okay. I was so clueless.... Anyway, after that, the double eyelids done by partial incision all came undone within less than a year, and the areas where I had epicanthoplasty left bigger scars than I expected. When I went back, they said they would just redo it with the same procedure, and if I wanted it redone by incision, I would have to pay more. But both my mom and I thought maybe we should just not touch it anymore, and since my skin is on the fair side, it didn't look that severe, so I tried to live without worrying about it. But because of the loosened double eyelids, makeup has taken so long all this time that it stressed me out. Recently, I started looking into clinics again, and at every clinic they said the scars are bigger than expected, and even though I had epicanthoplasty, a lot of the Mongolian fold remains, so it needs to be redone. They said it's not an easy case.... They said the scars can't be restored, and the cost is not small either.... Ha.... I've been going around to plastic surgery consultations, and since everyone says that, it's honestly been much harder than I expected. I'm not saying local clinics are bad at it, but I'm leaving this review to say you should really look into it carefully before going. I'm sure that clinic has improved a lot since then, and there are probably many people who had good results there. I just want people to know that even if someone says a place is okay because it has been in the same spot for a long time, that isn't always necessarily true When I had mine done, they also said the doctor had quite a lot of experience.
