I had chin implant surgery at a plastic surgery clinic in Apgujeong 4 years ago, and then got it removed! I didn’t have any side effects or pain, but I felt uneasy deep down about having an implant in my face, and I heard that as I get older, I’d have to remove it anyway, so after consulting several places, I chose one clinic, had a consultation on October 17, and scheduled the surgery for the 26th. Since I had 2 screws placed during my chin implant surgery, they said the surgery fee would be a bit higher than for others and that it would take more time. They also said there was quite a bit of chin bone resorption, so the surgery wouldn’t be easy. On the day of surgery, I randomly got scared thinking, what if my chin bone breaks during surgery.. I was so nervous It was done under sedation anesthesia, and I remember saying weird things in the middle... I think the surgery took about 1 hour. When I woke up, I was in a hospital bed, and after staying for about another hour, I listened to the explanation and was discharged. I was worried because many people said it hurt on the day of surgery, but I had absolutely no pain... I bought a compression band and wore it all day, and since they said it’s good to wear it for 2 weeks, I wore it almost all day. Definitely even while sleeping! I started eating from day 2. Washing my face too! The sutures were dissolvable, so there was no burden at all and it wasn’t uncomfortable either. Now it’s day 17, and the sutures are almost gone, and except for a very slight foreign-body sensation in my chin, I’m totally fine!! I removed the implant, but there’s no difference! That’s what I’m most satisfied with. The director and nurses were all so kind and explained everything well, so I felt at ease, and it was a good surgery. Oh, and they also gave me medication to prevent contracture for one month! There were so few reviews about implant removal, so I tried writing one myself. I hope it’s a helpful review!
