Do you know that old meme of Lee Hyori bursting out laughing? A full gum-showing smile... that’s exactly what I look like when I laugh. Even after orthodontic treatment, my gums still showed, so it stressed me out. But surgery felt too extreme, so I just lived with it until I tried gummy smile Botox for the first time this time. They also call it gum Botox, so I thought they would inject it into the gums, but they injected it around the philtrum area along the lip line, kind of like skin Botox. They said that for a first-time procedure, if too much is injected and it becomes overcorrected, it can often look very awkward, so they gave me only a small amount for now. They told me to come back within 2 weeks for a retouch if I feel like I need a bit more.
It’s been two days, and my gums already show less. haha
Since I never leave photos with my gums fully showing on my phone, I didn’t have any photos at all, so I looked for one where I was at least smiling. Even in that one, I was only smiling slightly because I really didn’t want my gums to show.... And the after photo was taken just now, and doesn’t it look clearly different?? I’m so satisfied.
As for the clinic, I just got it done at the closest and cheapest factory-style dermatology clinic near my house, so I won’t disclose it separately... There weren’t many reviews of gum Botox, so I’m posting this for reference!
