# Consultation After deciding that I needed to get breast augmentation, I spent all my time online reading every review and personal story I could find, and then started looking for a clinic where I could at least go in person for a consultation. First, my criteria for breast augmentation were these five things. (In order of priority) 1. It must not look cheap because of the breasts 2. It must be natural 3. A doctor with a sense of mission(?) 4. I don’t want a huge large hospital. (I just don’t like it..) 5. A reasonable price
Then I happened to come across Dr. Lee Junwook’s blog, and his mindset and values were so amazing that I thought, I have to get a consultation from him! That’s how I ended up going to Dite Plastic Surgery. (If you’re thinking about breast surgery, definitely read Dr. Lee Junwook’s blog and YouTube channel carefully..) To be honest, even from the time I went for the consultation, I was already planning to have the surgery there. Because it seemed like they designed breast shape beautifully without making it look cheap, and the doctor himself seemed very confident..
During the consultation, they first laid out various implants and asked me to find the one that felt most similar to my own breasts. Then they checked whether the size I wanted would be possible, and showed me the post-surgery result on a 3D monitor (of course, they also let me see the actual weight and shape with the implant inserted) Honestly, the consultation wasn’t very long, and I guess the reason was that my condition wasn’t a difficult surgical case, so everything went very smoothly, from choosing the implant to choosing the size. Dr. Lee Junwook looks at the balance of the whole body and tells you the breast size that suits your body best, and his most important philosophy is the ratio between the buttocks (pelvis) and the breasts. In other words, he doesn’t just operate because I say I want them as big as possible; he determines a size that is possible in proportion to my hips, and that fit my standard of not looking too cheap and pursuing a natural breast shape very well. And looking at my skin type and amount of fat, he roughly told me how long recovery would take and how much it would hurt, so considering that I’m writing this post after going on an aquarium date on post-op day 2, he was very accurate..
Just a small tip: if you’re going to get a consultation at Dite, wearing leggings will help you get a more accurate size consultation.!!
# Surgery Day Since I was the first time slot, there weren’t many people, and I liked that I could prepare leisurely. I was feeling dazed, but then I went into the operating room holding the nurse’s hand, and suddenly my heart started pounding, and from then on I was whining.. The anesthesiologist was already in the operating room first, and the last thing I remember was hearing, “Your face may sting a little, don’t worry,” and then I fell asleep. When I opened my eyes, it felt like the world was spinning, like I was extremely drunk and feeling nauseous. For a moment, I even thought, ‘Ah, it’s surgery day, did I drink alcohol and get drunk?’ because I just felt super sleepy and drugged. Then the nurse and the doctor visited one after another, and after getting IV fluids, I walked home just fine
On post-op day 2 now, I can do all daily activities, and if I take my medicine properly, it doesn’t hurt so much that I sometimes even forget I had surgery.
Small tip after surgery: be sure to do the stretching they teach you on the day of surgery! Really, if you can endure the pain for just the first three times of stretching, after that it surprisingly hurts less and less.!!
And unlike other people, I went without preparing any questions or thoughts, but please make sure to write down what you want to ask and what you want to do before going for the consultation.. ^^
