Lol, my eyelashes were poking my eyes so much that corneal wounds caused by it affected my vision loss... The ophthalmology clinic had recommended double-eyelid surgery as an alternative.
My parents said that since I was doing it anyway, I should make it look pretty, so they let me get double-eyelid surgery, epicanthoplasty, and ptosis correction at a plastic surgery clinic near home. The crease settled as an in-out line, so my eyes looked noticeably bigger at a glance, and it was nice that my eyelashes no longer poked my eyes. But over the years, the flesh on my upper eyelids gradually came down and ended up covering the double-eyelid crease from around the middle.
So while consulting about rhinoplasty, I also asked about double-eyelid revision surgery. (different clinic) They said my eyes were asymmetrical and the crease lines were completely broken. Seeing the doctor look troubled while checking my eye condition was a little funny, but it also made me wonder if my personality is just easygoing. I additionally asked about lower lateral canthoplasty too, and when they said it seemed like it would be good to do, I immediately went ahead with it!
Once my eyes and nose are both done, I hope there won’t be any more surgeries.
