I had my first rhinoplasty for a small nose using autologous costal cartilage, but the tip became longer (+ slightly drooped), so I went back to the clinic after 2 months.
They said: “Let’s wait until 3 months and correct it. Through a closed approach, we can pull the alar cartilage a bit more to slightly raise the angle, and trim the autologous costal cartilage that is sticking out a little long so it’s shorter. It should be relatively simple.”
They said it would be done in 30 minutes to 1 hour, and that revision surgery is okay once 3 months have passed.
But I’ve also heard that getting surgery before 6 months isn’t good because the nose is still unstable, and another hospital said it’s absolutely not possible...
Has anyone here had revision surgery after just 3 months?? And has anyone had a revision to make it lower??
