Nose Surgery Reviews@rhino-review

1-year review after revision rhinoplasty

One-line review: Please really do your research before doing it.. I like the shape, but breathing has become difficult. (Never get osteotomy.)

For the nasal bridge, I had 5-6 mm silicone inserted, and since it was a revision rhinoplasty and I never wanted to have surgery again, for the nasal tip I chose autologous costal cartilage considering inflammation and shape, and I had osteotomy for the effect of making the nose look higher. Later, since I had the surgery with a review-writing discount, I asked the hospital about the surgical materials, and I heard that they put autologous costal cartilage in the nasal tip and used an artificial material (donated dermis, AlloDerm) on top of it so it would not protrude sharply, so I protested.

First of all, I really like the shape. However, they inserted an artificial material without discussing it with me before surgery, and the biggest downside is that my nose gets blocked so easily.. Because they focused only on the nose shape and did osteotomy, the nasal valve became narrowed. So my nose gets blocked quickly and breathing feels stuffy.

If I could go back to before the surgery, I would still have surgery again, but I would absolutely not have osteotomy...
