After<surgery after> Day 19 after surgery (the hospital is not in Seoul; I’m from the provinces)
Functional rhinoplasty for nasal valve issues and deviated nose + nasal tip with autologous cartilage (ear cartilage + septal cartilage) + osteotomy for hooked nose + (autologous dermis? I’m not sure if this was done; I also had fat grafting together)
This wasn’t a surgery I got after researching hospitals extremely thoroughly. Maybe about three places? I did it after hearing that an acquaintance with a similar condition to mine had a successful result here. I did it because I felt sure the aftercare was good and the director was trustworthy.
But looking at it now, the hooked-nose area is straight, but somehow the shape seems odd, and the nasal tip also doesn’t seem any different from my original nasal tip height, so I’m writing because I’m curious what complete strangers would think ㅠ Could the lack of smoothness in the shape still be swelling? I have a lot of questions, but I can’t organize my thoughts, so I’ll stop here!
Honestly, at first my satisfaction was 100. I don’t have pre-op photos, but to describe it in words, a nasal bridge that wasn’t low, a hooked nose that others wouldn’t notice unless I mentioned it but was personally a complex for me, and a round nasal tip and alar area that weren’t pretty (kind of teddy-bear-like?) That was the shape, so after rhinoplasty it became a very feminine-looking nose and I was satisfied, but as time goes on and the shape keeps changing differently from what I expected, my satisfaction is dropping sharply ㅠㅠ..
Rhinoplasty.. really.. is hard !!!
