First of all, during the consultation, I waited alone in the room for 1 hour and 20 minutes. Because of this, I couldn’t go to one of the other clinics. I’ve never had plastic surgery before, and my first procedure would be my nose, but they said it would be osteotomy + nasal bridge + nasal tip under general anesthesia, so it felt really burdensome.
The consultant kept telling me to make a reservation, but I said it was my very first consultation and that I needed to look at other places too. And honestly, I was so angry from all the waiting that I kind of lost any desire to have it done at this hospital..
I don’t remember the director’s name. He was somewhat older, and he was blunt. About nostril-wing reduction, he firmly said, “Don’t do it.”...
2. ㅁㅇㄷ Plastic Surgery Clinic
In the end, I had surgery here. Director ㅇㄱㅇ. I had planned to consult at at least three places, but the first hospital dragged on for too long, I didn’t have time, and above all, two of my friends had already had surgery at this hospital, so I somehow felt like, okay, let’s do it here. Also, when the director explained things, he drew detailed pictures while explaining, so I felt like this person’s hands were the real deal. Here, they recommended nostril-wing reduction. I was so confused.. because the first hospital had firmly said no, so I asked about it, and he reassured me that since the incision would be made on the outside, there wouldn’t be an issue of the nostrils becoming abnormally small.. Since my nostril wings were also a source of stress for me, I thought it might actually be better. And he said not to reduce the nostril wings too much from the beginning, but to do it step by step. He said they can be reduced simply, so he didn’t recommend reducing them a lot from the start. And above all, I felt reassured that it was sedation anesthesia. And he was sweet lol
But I think the hospital management needs some improvement. I’ll write the review on the review board.
