There are not many reviews from people getting facial contouring pins removed, so I am writing one. I searched as much as I could and heard that around the 1-year mark is the best time to remove them, so I did it lol
When I had facial contouring surgery, it was really hard, but pin removal was definitely comfortable, maybe because it was done under sedation, and even after coming out of surgery, the recovery process has been on a completely different level of comfort. First of all, as soon as I came out of surgery, I ate a regular meal right away, and there was nothing uncomfortable at all. I had swelling for about a week, but the swelling went down quickly, and I went back to work right away the following week, but people did not really notice. I go to my parents' house every weekend, and I insisted to my parents that I had just gotten something like a dermatology procedure lol I thought the doctor who did my facial contouring surgery would know best, so although the removal cost was about twice as expensive as other hospitals, I had it done at the hospital where I had my facial contouring surgery, also to check the progress haha
Now I think I just need to manage the scars well.
