I had LASEK at Gangnam Haneul Eye Clinic 10 years ago. (I don’t know whether it has disappeared now or still exists) I don’t know whether it doesn’t hurt now because the technology has improved, but for me, it really hurt. The day after LASEK, my maternal grandfather passed away, so I couldn’t even wear sunglasses at the funeral hall, and because my eyes hurt I kept crying, so I became the world’s most grandfather-loving granddaughter..
I lived happily at about 1.0 vision for around 4 years, but after giving birth, my eyesight all dropped. (I’m not sure why. I don’t know whether it was the effect of childbirth or because I looked at my phone in the dark while breastfeeding at night)
Now, 10 years later, my astigmatism, night blindness, and eyesight have all returned to the original state (vision 0.2), and I’m thinking about repeat LASEK, but it hurt so much back then that I’m scared and keep putting it off.
But even if my vision drops again, I’ll do it again. Because the satisfaction was the best. These days I wear contact lenses, and it’s so uncomfortable ^^
Um, I didn’t have side effects such as dry eyes or glare, but people who think their vision will stay maintained for life should take that into consideration~
