As you’ll know if you saw my previous post, my nasal bridge bone was broken, so I had a second revision surgery for reconstructive purposes and just got back. I was really scared because I remembered how hard it was when I had my revision surgery... but why do I feel so fine?? There was little bleeding, so there’s no cotton inside my nose, and breathing is easy too^^;
I had the depressed area of my nasal bridge reconstructed with donated dermis, and I’m so curious whether it was done properly. Among those who’ve had surgery, is there anyone like me who didn’t have nasal packing put in?? They said there was little bleeding, so I didn’t need packing and they didn’t put it in. It’s a whole new world. Since I can breathe, it doesn’t even feel like I had surgery...
Since the nose was for reconstruction, it didn’t need to be made high, and because I didn’t want to take ear cartilage, I said it was okay not to correct the slight asymmetry in my nostrils (I previously had surgery using cartilage taken from my right ear, and every time I wore a mask my ear would fold weakly, so I wanted to protect my left ear lol) But now I wonder if I should’ve just been greedy and asked them to do everything.
They said they put in 2 mm of dermis, but how much will get absorbed?? I’m already worried that the dent from my broken nasal dorsum bone will show again -.-
Once the splint is removed, I’ll properly upload before-and-after photos. The place that broke my perfectly fine nasal bone during my first surgery, ㅂㄴㄸ... Even now, just thinking about it makes me tremble with anger.
Ps. I had the revision surgery at a different hospital, and I had this second revision again at the place where I got the revision surgery.
