I’d only had non-incisional burial-method surgery a total of 3 times before, and this is my first time with an incision. I must really have the constitution for plastic surgery. The swelling is honestly not much different from when I had the burial method!!! The bruising is almost all gone now too.
I thought incisional surgery would take a long time to recover from and be hard to do while working, so I kept getting it done with the burial method. But I was told that sunken upper eyelids can’t be fixed with the burial method. I kept putting it off, but this time I had a chance to take a break from work, so I finally went with the incision lol
My original line was a bit high, and when I was tired I’d get multiple creases, my eyelids looked sunken, and I didn’t have much eyelid-opening strength, so every time I took photos I had to really strain my eyes open. So this time, while doing the double eyelid surgery, I lowered the line, had eyelid fat repositioning, and got ptosis correction together!! Honestly, before this, when I had burial-method eyelid surgery or my nose done, I didn’t swell much at all, so I figured it was just my constitution. But seeing that even incisional double eyelid surgery has about the same level of swelling as the burial method is kind of fascinating lol
They said I could wear makeup after removing the stitches, so I tried doing it lightly, and if I take selfies with makeup on, it really doesn’t show. Maybe about the amount of swelling after eating a lot of ramen and chicken feet before sleeping? lol
It’s only week 2, so they said the line isn’t finalized yet. It’ll probably get a bit lower lol Once more of the swelling goes down and it settles later, I’ll come back to write another review!!
