This is a 10-week review after revision surgery with incision. During my first surgery, I had incision, fat removal, and ptosis correction, and for this revision surgery I only had surgery by incision. I wanted a natural line rather than a dramatic line, and now at week 10, the swelling has gone down a lot, so it has become very natural.
Before surgery, the line of my right eye was larger than the line of my left eye, and the mucous membrane was also slightly everted. Even now, if you look closely, the right side is very slightly larger, but compared with before it has clearly improved. I’m very satisfied with this level of symmetry. The mucous membrane also seems to have come down more, so I feel at ease every time I look in the mirror.
The most important point in the revision surgery was cleaning up the line. The decisive reason I decided on revision surgery was also that the line was too messy. Now the line is very clean! There is a little tissue remaining right under the line, and I’m not sure whether it’s scar tissue or swelling, but it seems to be gradually getting smaller, so I don’t think it will be a problem.
When I posted my week 3 and week 6 reviews, I thought, ‘There isn’t much swelling, is there anything more to go down? Will there be a big difference?’ But comparing the photos, the swelling has definitely gone down and it has become more natural. It still hasn’t even been 3 months, so I’m looking forward to seeing how it will be with more time. I hope this post is helpful to those considering revision surgery!
