Clinic A: The doctor had experience doing sinusitis surgery along with functional and cosmetic rhinoplasty, so I trusted it the most at first + no CT scan + for a crooked nose and hump correction, osteotomy + if you want more height with ear cartilage, autologous costal cartilage was recommended + paranasal augmentation was recommended + they kept emphasizing that their clinic does things naturally + revision surgery possible + post-op care was different from other clinics, with no X-rays, cream, etc.
Clinic B: A clinic opened separately by the head doctor after leaving another large plastic surgery clinic + not sure whether they have extensive experience doing both sinusitis surgery and everything else + I had a bit of trouble thinking through the order of the surgery + CT scan done + my nose was not that crooked, and on CT the bone was small, so osteotomy was not recommended + septal cartilage, ear cartilage, donated rib cartilage or autologous costal cartilage were recommended + but they kept persuading me to do it with donated rib cartilage + they said it was not a hump but that the nasal cartilage was weak and had collapsed, and that I probably did not have much septal cartilage either + the consultation was very long and good
I went to only two out of several places, and the opinions were so different that I was confused. A said it was a hump, but B said it was not even that much of a hump, and their diagnosis of a crooked nose and whether osteotomy was recommended were also different. Since osteotomy is not great, I liked clinic B a bit more, but clinic B bothers me because of the sinusitis surgery and the donated rib cartilage part.
