I had my first double eyelid surgery with buried sutures at 5.5 mm, and while there was swelling, I had quite a bit of mucosal eversion. It got better after about 3 months. On YouTube, they said that for sunken eyes, the line should be set that low and 1-1.5 mm of skin should be removed, so I’m considering revision surgery that way. But if I do 6 mm and remove 1-1.5 mm through an incision, will mucosal eversion definitely happen… because the skin gets lifted? I’m worried… Mucosal eversion doesn’t look good, and my eyes were really dry too.
