First Rhinoplasty Consultation Review 1

I have an obviously low nasal bridge and a semi bulbous nose, so I have been going around for consultations purely for cosmetic purposes. I went to 5 places, but none of them really clicked with me, so I plan to look into more. Please recommend some. (I do not prefer factory-style clinics or flashy noses.) I am leaving consultation reviews for people who have concerns like mine. My features: my glabella looks wide because of my low nasal bridge, but I also had a doctor’s opinion 5 years ago that because my skin looks thin, an implant may show through if too much is inserted + a protruding bone in the middle of the nasal bridge + bulbous nose

All the places below are around Gangnam/Sinsa/Apgujeong, and when making appointments I specified the doctor before going. (All were chief directors or doctors who only do noses.)

1. Director G at JYJY I saw this place both in my school community and on a plastic surgery review app. I had seen that they do natural-looking work, so among the 5 places, I had this one in mind the most and visited it first. They explained silicone nasal bridge + bulbous nose correction + nasal tip kindly, and the wait was short before I saw the doctor. However, they said they would shave down the slightly protruding bone in the middle of my nasal bridge and put silicone on top of the smooth line. Later, all the other clinics said there was no need to shave the bone, so I put this clinic aside.. The price was cheaper than I expected. (Review pressure present)

2. Director O at OBJ This place had especially many compliments on the app, and it was a large clinic. I could only see the director’s face an hour and a half after my appointment time. (So I guess you do not need to go too early.. If you call, they say the director only does consultations in the morning and has surgeries all afternoon, but he was doing consultations until 2.) I do not know if he naturally has an impatient personality or if he was annoyed, but he spoke extremely fast, came into the consultation room, sat perched on the chair with his body turned toward the door, rapidly talked, and it was over. It was draining, and the surgery items were the same as clinic 1. The only difference was that he said he would not shave the protruding bone, but would carve the silicone to match the shape of that bone. The price was also the same as clinic 1, and maybe because it was a large clinic, the clinic-level prognosis/care seemed good and the explanation was detailed. Personally, I do not prefer large clinics, but it was the most standard option, and honestly, if it were not for the doctor’s attitude, I think I would have done it here. The surgery time was also the shortest, and I was worried he might rush through my surgery the way he speaks quickly. (Review pressure present)

3. Director H at GY There are no reviews for this place. Literally just word of mouth. The clinic is also very small, and when you go in, it feels like a neighborhood internal medicine clinic. The reason it is famous is that the results are really, really natural, to the point that people would not know unless you said you had plastic surgery.. Both the doctor and the consultation manager are incredibly persuasive. It feels like you are being drawn in.. If you are more easily swayed than I am, be careful; you may book right away. The doctor looked at my nose and caught everything, such as what the problems were and what needed to be done, even without me telling him. He designed the nose “naturally” by taking the overall mood of my face into account, but the problem is that he absolutely does not use silicone and insists on Gore-Tex. If it had not been Gore-Tex, I probably would have booked surgery right away. If you only listen to the doctor and consultant, it starts to feel like silicone is a sales tactic and Gore-Tex is the real thing, but when you leave and ask other clinics, they all say they do not use Gore-Tex much these days. For people who are okay with Gore-Tex and pursue natural beauty, this place may be the best. However, the price is more than 1.5 times that of the previous clinics. (No discount for writing a review)

4. Director H at JYJY (10,000 won consultation fee, they take a face photo and adjust with 3D modeling) I went here after GY, which had an overly forced-energy atmosphere, so both the consultation manager and the doctor felt comparatively low-energy..? Especially the consultant.. So I do not remember it well. As soon as we started talking, I thought I did not really want to do it here.. The doctor seemed very experienced, but compared with the previous clinics, he suggested about twice the implant height and said something like a visible implant is not necessarily unattractive, so it scared me a lot. The surgical method was the same, and the price was the cheapest among the 5 places. (Even though they use a lot of silicone.)

5. Director S at JDBYZ (10,000 won consultation fee, they take photos of the face from multiple angles and explain) This clinic is mentioned a lot on apps. It was the largest clinic among the 5, and personally, I do not prefer clinics that market heavily to foreigners. But from the signboard, it had Chinese characters, and I waited in the waiting room with women from Russia. Also, compared with other large clinics, the staff had a very free-spirited style (slightly gyaru-like appearance, clothes that did not fit their size, etc..), so I was half giving up. But the director explained things well, and although he recommended a higher implant than the previous clinics (except clinic 4), he told me he would adjust it while checking during surgery. Despite the staff atmosphere, he is famous for having no accidents for decades. The consultant also said there had been no patients with problems due to inflammation. (There is no way to verify this.) He was the only one who did not mention removing fat from my nostril wings, and the price was higher than clinics 1 and 2. I did not ask, but it is probably a price including a review.
