I'm looking into a fourth revision eye surgery, and since I had surgery when I lived in the provinces, I'm searching thoroughly from the Busan area all the way to Seoul,,,, but after I narrow down all the famous doctors, somewhere else there turns out to be another famous doctor I didn't know about.
A doctor who is older and has a lot of experience A doctor with an appropriate amount of experience and an appropriate age, who performs surgery with good sense A doctor rumored to be the most popular these days (though I don't know if it's just a lot of rumors thanks to brokers)
But even if they're called a renowned doctor like that, there are still reviews saying that doctor performed the surgery and it turned out badly.
After seeing things like that, I thought, ah, this is just luck. The doctor probably has a rough plan too, but once the surgery is actually done, because of some unexpected variable, the eyes could end up distorted, uneven, or not much different from before..... Still, a doctor with a relatively high success rate is probably the one who becomes famous, right?
But after having eye surgery several times, I can no longer rule out the possibility that I could be the unlucky patient of a famous doctor. When I look at other cafe posts I wrote in the past while forcing myself to stay hopeful, I can see I was just mentally trying to justify it to myself...........
Now I've gotten older too...... The doctor who confidently assured me before surgery, when I went back a few months after surgery saying I still didn't like it, at first said it was still swelling and to wait, but later told me to think about my age. Do you even eat properly?
To my twenty-year-old self, who thought so carelessly during the first surgery, gave a rough explanation, and assumed the doctor would take care of it well..... why did you do that?
When I see people who are getting their first surgery but still research hard and write posts, I really envy them. I should have done that too.
I saw somewhere that someone said if the first surgery goes badly, there is a high chance it will keep going badly. Of course, I've also seen cases where it turned out well on the 3rd or 4th try.... I guess everyone tries again thinking they will be that case too. But then when I see eyes in even more extreme condition than mine, I think next time I might end up like that.......
When I read posts, I think, those eyes are pretty, why would they want to do surgery.... If I had those eyes, I'd be over the moon.... But someone else must also be looking at my eyes with sad eyes and saying that..... Seeing this kind of thing makes me think doctors who do eye or nose surgery must make the most money, because there are just so many revision surgeries.
Today too, I'm staring at my eyes that I don't like, wondering whether I should do it or not, and spending the whole day just searching the internet.
