This was my first surgery, and I had incisional double eyelid surgery + ptosis correction. It’s day 9 after the incision!
The consultation went in the order of consultant - director - consultant! During the consultation with the consultant, she showed me several review photos while explaining things, and I asked a lot of questions too. She answered in detail and was really kind!
When consulting with the director, I had a line I wanted, but I hadn’t decided whether to do incisional or non-incisional buried suture, so I asked the director for a recommendation. The director explained what was possible and what they recommended! After I showed the photo I wanted, they marked the line several times, and they also told me that given my eye condition? structure?, if the line was set too high, I could end up with sausage eyes. I liked that they explained things well. And when I asked questions, they explained them well too, and there was no excessive pressure during the consultation, so I liked that!
After going to consultations at other clinics too and thinking it over, I felt this consultation was good and I liked the line they marked the most, so I booked surgery for the next day. I also liked that it was a one-doctor clinic, and I had heard that the director is really meticulous. From marking the line before surgery to during the surgery, they had me lie down and close/open my eyes + sit up and close/open my eyes many times, so they really seemed meticulous. I thought I made the right choice coming here! I like the line, and people around me also said my eyes look more defined than before surgery and that it turned out well, so I’m happy! Also, opening my eyes has become easier, so I’m satisfied.
I had my stitches removed a few days ago, and the director removed the stitches personally! For reference, since I had incisional surgery, I had the stitches removed on day 7. And when I came in for follow-up, they explained the precautions well and answered my questions well too, which I liked!
