Nose Re-Surgery

Sharing my story of removing my nose implant after just 6 months (What should I do in this situation..?)

Around the end of January 2026, I had my first nose surgery at a clinic specializing in rhinoplasty. Starting around June 2026, there was continuously a foreign substance (scabs) inside the tip of my nose. Fluid also kept running from inside my nose like a nosebleed, in yellow, brown, and blood-like colors. I live outside Seoul, while the clinic is in Seoul, so although I contacted them, I could not visit. Then the symptoms disappeared, so I assumed they had only occurred temporarily and did not think much of it (although they had not lasted for just a short time). Around the end of August, the same symptoms returned, along with something red, round, and protruding around the bridge of my nose. It hurt when touched, and the area was so red and prominent that people said it was very noticeable. I urgently scheduled a visit, and after examining it, the doctor said we should remove it immediately. I underwent removal surgery just 6 months after my nose surgery. Nose surgery is not cheap, and even a nose filler lasts a year, so how does it make sense for a nose implant to be removed after 6 months? Since there was a one-year free revision policy, I asked about revision, but they said I would have to pay again for another surgery. When I asked what caused this, the coordinator blamed it entirely on my physical condition, while the doctor said there could be several causes, including an inflammatory reaction because the silicone did not suit me, and also mentioned my condition. They said there are many possible reasons for an inflammatory reaction. The clinic claimed that if it were the clinic's fault, side effects would occur within a maximum of one month, whereas my reaction appeared only 4–5 months later, so they said it was my responsibility. (Then how carefully are people who undergo nose surgery supposed to manage their condition??) I followed everything the clinic told me not to do after surgery, so is this really my responsibility?? During the consultation, they said they would use silicone and donated rib cartilage, but on the day of surgery they told me that because I already had a bridge, they would use an extremely thin silicone implant and that honestly I could even have it done without an implant. I had already paid in full, so I just accepted it and let them use silicone. If the doctor is right that the silicone was the problem, shouldn't the clinic take full responsibility and perform revision surgery, or at least refund 50%? It is absurd enough that I paid several million won and had it removed again after only 6 months, but it is even more absurd that I have to pay again for revision. My current capsular contracture is severe, and my nose is significantly upturned. (At first the clinic said it would be upturned for one month, but at my recent visit they said it would last longer than a month.) Their explanation keeps changing.
