I had epicanthoplasty, ptosis correction, and incisional double eyelid surgery, and I’m very satisfied with the shape. Around 3 years after surgery, the double eyelids became completely like my own eyes, and up to now they look natural without feeling too thin or like they are getting smaller into inner double eyelids... But when I naturally close my eyes while washing my face or showering, it feels like there isn’t enough eyelid Normally, water shouldn’t get in even if you close your eyes lightly, but I have to squeeze my eyes fully shut to keep water from getting into my eyes. Also, even before surgery, when I was tired I tended to sleep with my eyes slightly open enough to show the whites, but as my eyelids got pulled upward, now they say even a bit of the iris shows. It was a surgery I got with a really casual mindset, but it made me realize that double eyelid surgery is still surgery, and that side effects can happen too.
