Local anesthesia injections For the epicanthoplasty, they gave me two shots and started with the epicanthoplasty first The epicanthoplasty was manageable lol I didn’t feel much pain. There was a bit of a smell from cauterizing the skin, but maybe because the area was small, it was tolerable
Incisional double eyelid surgery + ptosis correction They gave me anesthesia shots again, all around the eye overall... Once you get through the beginning, the shots are bearable. It does hurt, but.. it’s just okay The incisional double eyelid surgery also smells like skin being cauterized. It doesn’t hurt. It’s reasonably tolerable
Ptosis correction < this is the real crazy one Honestly, after getting ptosis correction, the first two were just nothing My first double eyelid surgery was just a partial incision, and back then it didn’t hurt at all, so I thought the revision would be the same, but ptosis correction is seriously insane Rather than painful.. it’s not exactly pain. But during ptosis correction, maybe because the part being cauterized has thin skin, it feels zingy. It’s not pain, anyway it’s a sharp tingling. It feels like something is piercing through...... But that’s not the real problem. The pulling of the sutures is seriously ....... painful... I really don’t describe most things as painful... I didn’t cry when I got cut by a knife or when I fell forward down the stairs, but just.. it hurts.. But when ptosis correction is done under local anesthesia, they keep checking the strength of eye opening and adjust how much they pull. Wow, I seriously swore that if I get a third eye surgery, I’m not human. Wow..... seriously no.. it hurts...
But I really do like the result..^^... I’ve spent my whole life opening my eyes with my eyebrows and forehead, and this is the first time I can open them this refreshingly. But pain is pain, and liking the result is liking the result, so I’m writing this rambling post so my memory doesn’t romanticize it.
