Before is on the left, after surgery is on the right!
Today was one week, so I got my splint removed. The swelling and bruising are still no joke, but even taking that into account, I’m so satisfied haha
I clearly emphasized several times what I wanted for my nose shape (raise and lift the nasal tip, correct the obtuse-looking nasolabial angle, only a slight hump reduction, bulbous nose from the front, natural-looking). What I’m a bit disappointed with right now is that the nasolabial angle feels overcorrected? But I think it may come down together as the nasal tip descends.
I had rhinitis surgery done at the same time, and I’m really satisfied with this part too.. Of course, for now it’s still hard to breathe because of blood scabs and crusting insideㅠ Right after they remove it at the hospital, it’s a whole new world, but after time passes it gets hard to breathe again.. So I bought a nasal rinse, but they told me not to do it too forcefully.
My family says my nose looks crooked. I’m not sure yet because of swelling next to the nasal bridge? but my nostrils definitely are uneven. But to begin with, I have some facial asymmetry (habit of resting my chin on my handㅠㅠ I need to fix it..), so rather than it looking like it’s obviously crooked because of the surgery, it feels like it’s tilted according to my facial axis, so I’m fairly satisfied.
For now, because of the swelling and overcorrection, should I say my nostrils show too much from the front? It looks a bit like a pinched nose and like an obvious surgery noseㄷㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ I’ll just have to wait it out like crazy until it settles...^^ Still, I can clearly see that my biggest complex, the bulbous front view, and the nasal bridge line that used to look like a witch nose have been cleaned up, so I’m very satisfied haha Since my long, witch-like nose definitely lifted up, the midface looks shorter, which I like (instead, the lower face looks longerㅎ,, people with long lower faces like me may find it subtly bothersome)
I tried to take the photos from the same angle as much as possible, but it didn’t workㅜ I’ll come back again once more swelling goes down in week 2!
