It was my first nose surgery at the time. At famous hospitals back then like ㅅㄷㄹㄹ, ㅂㄹㅇ, ㅂㄴㅂㄱ, etc., I was even told that my columella was at a height that is hard for Koreans to naturally have, and asked whether I had had surgery before. They said to put in a 4 mm implant to match the nasal tip height. They said if only the height increased, the nose could look bigger, so I should slightly reduce the alar base, and since the space between my eyes could look narrow, I should get a wide-opening lateral canthoplasty. On top of that, if the glabella became higher, it would look prettier to make the forehead more voluminous. That was the feedback I heard from most hospitals, but it suddenly felt like it was becoming a major construction project, so I went to ㄱㅁ with a friend who had recently been a cosmetic-surgery model at ㄱㅁ. I had surgery with 1 mm silicone, alar reduction, nasal tip lowering, septal cartilage, and donated costal cartilage. They said they would only change my image while keeping it harmonious with my face lol They gave me the opposite solution compared with other hospitals, so somehow I trusted them lol
The consultant added osteotomy cost, material cost, forehead fat grafting, and nose surgery cost, and charged me 5.3 million won in cash, but I found out after the nose surgery that the osteotomy, for which I paid an extra 800,000 won, was not actually performed lol But they played dumb.
After the splint was removed, my nose kept dropping, so at first they said it was swelling and told me to wait until after 6 months, but seeing the nose shape that was clearly headed for revision surgery, I didn’t even want to look in ㄱㅁ’s direction. In the end, the nasal tip completely collapsed and the columella collapsed too. The mask saved me; otherwise I think I would have taken antidepressants.
I’m looking into revision surgery, but they messed it up so badly that I don’t know if it can recover.

For reference, after opening up my nose, they left the room for long periods multiple times, so I went into surgery at 10, but came out almost at 3 lol (this was my first surgery) I woke up from anesthesia twice in the middle, and they were like, “Why does this person keep waking up?” and put me under again. They left my nose open, went to consultations, smoked, and came back after spraying perfume. During the surgery, I smelled cigarette smoke and Bulgari perfume lolol Don’t be fooled by slick talk saying everything is possible and to just trust them. I found out later that when they operated on my nose, they were only in their 4th year after becoming a specialist lol
I went around for revision-surgery consultations today, and what made me so depressed was that after seeing my pre-op photos, they said how could they make it worse than my pre-op nose? They said the alar area and nostrils had no choice but to collapse because they cut away all the skin that should have stretched narrowly. The nostrils’ axes don’t match either, and they’re extremely uneven, so even if the surgery goes well, the asymmetry can’t be helped. There’s also no remaining alar skin, so there’s a limit to how much the nasal tip can be raised. The donated costal cartilage has all resorbed, so it has no function left and only its shape remains, they said lol In the end, autologous costal cartilage is the only answer, and even that would only restore it to about my original nose. Every consulting director asked which hospital did the surgery lol I guess I was unbelievably unlucky ㅠㅠ Wishing everyone good luck
