In my early 20s, without any information, I just had my first surgery at a big hospital, but nobody can tell I was stressed for years, but I had no side effects or discomfort, so I just lived with it. Recently I decided on revision surgery and have been going to consultations. I’ve been to 3 places total, and I have another consultation scheduled this week too! I’m a little scared because I’m doing revision surgery out of my own desire I’m writing this in case I can get some help. The clinics I visited:
Bulbous nose + autologous costal cartilage!
Clinic 1: It has one director, and I went because a friend had revision surgery there. The clinic doesn’t seem super famous? (by my standards) But they use autologous costal cartilage + ear cartilage, so pain in two places..? They said if using only autologous costal cartilage, the nasal tip is firm, so they also use ear cartilage, but I don’t know much, so are cases like this common too…?? I was surprised because the price was very cheap compared with other clinics. My friend said that during aftercare, they met directly with the director every time, so that part seems okay.
Clinic 2: I saw it a lot on ㄱㄴㅇㄴ and ㅂㅂㅌ. In particular, one director’s name came up a lot for revision surgery. It was nice that they showed me how my nose would look after surgery in 3D?? I asked if it would look strange if it were made a bit higher, and they recommended the shape they had planned, saying it would look obvious that I had plastic surgery. They said they would do closed rhinoplasty if possible! After the consultation, I didn’t feel anything particularly bad, so I put down a deposit here for now! There was a discount for same-day booking.
Clinic 3: This place seems quite famous?? There was a bit of a wait, and maybe because it’s famous, I saw many people coming out right after surgery and many people who came for treatment. But I saw many reviews saying the consultant speaks informally, and um, it’s true. It’s not informal speech that feels offensive, but.. anyway, it was my first time experiencing that, so I was a bit flustered. This place seems to pursue a glamorous style. The consultant also emphasized raising the nasal tip. When I first went in, they said they could tell why I came and accurately pointed out the part that stresses me. The director shaped my nose with a cotton swab so I could check it and explained the surgical method in detail. I liked the consultation with the director!
Just looking at this, it’s hard to know, right…? If there are no major issues, I’ll probably do it at Clinic 2, but I’m also thinking of going for a second consultation there, and I’ll look more and go to consultations at other clinics too All three clinics mentioned bulbous-nose correction, and since my first surgery used septal cartilage, this time I’m planning on autologous costal cartilage. Since donated cartilage makes me a bit uneasy, I think it’s better to use autologous costal cartilage even if it leaves a scar If you have any clinic recommendations for bulbous nose with autologous costal cartilage or surgery experience, please leave a comment
