Has anyone had something like straws put in their nose instead of cotton..?

I had it done yesterday, and I was thinking, “I want to get the cotton out quickly~~” while changing the gauze, but I saw that instead of cotton, there was something like straws inside, and it seems like blood comes out through there. But even though there’s no cotton inside, why can’t I breathe,, has anyone had straws put in instead of cotton? When will I be able to breathe?
